Community art summer series schedule:

Saturday June 27 1-5pm

Suminagashi Paper Marbling

We will make beautiful papers using ink and river water that moves with our hands and breath, tools and the wind.

Friday July 17 4-8pm

Linocut Block Printing Posters and Clothing

We will design posters, patches, stickers and clothing using linocut blocks of birds, plants, water and wildlife at Hydro Park!

Sunday August 9 10-2pm

We will walk Hydro Park to source roots and plants that provide natural pigments. We will then use allum and ash to create a watercolor set that you can take home!

We will gather materials from the events to build a community art installation that will exhibit in Ypsilanti in the Fall. Opening date TBA
